CD Mastering, Duplication and Restoration
CD Mastering
This is the process used to make a master CD for you. The master CD is made by adjusting overall volumes, equalization, and other functions to put finishing touches to your songs and get them in the right order, with proper spacing between each song. Our CD masters are made to the standard used by all duplication facilities (Redbook with P and Q codes), and can also be played in all audio CD players.
Duplication
We are currently able to make up to 300 copies with printing on the CD. Printing can include graphics and logos.
For larger runs, we have working relationships with two local duplication facilities, and we can help coordinate this process if you wish.
Audio Restoration
We can transfer your old reel-to-reel tapes, records, and
cassettes to CD. This is a great way to preserve and copy those
old tapes of your loved ones for you and family members. While
doing this we will:
• Remove hiss, crackle and pops.
•
Reduce noise and hums.
•
Edit for content at your request.
•
Create a larger environment by adding mild reverberation (optional).
•
Adjust volumes in real time to make low volume higher and reduce
volume peaks.
•
Separate one long track into several, based on content. (This
is usually used to separate Aunt Edna’s stories into
separate tracks so you can locate a specific story easier.)
Our clients have been happy with the way we have cleaned and
transferred their reel-to-reel tapes and scratchy LP’s
and 78 rpm records. Charges for audio restoration accrue at
a reduced hourly studio rate. The amount of time spent on your
project depends largely on the condition of your source material.
